We are happy to share the results. This flip-clock screensaver comes courtesy of Yuji Adachi, a Japanese developer who also creates and publishes other free goodies besides screensavers, such as fonts, apps, icon sets and desktop wallpapers. The Fliqlo screensaver, however, appears to be one of his most popular projects, and it's still actively developed.

The premise of this screensaver is simple: it turns your screen into an old-fashioned flip-clock that looks much like the electromechanical alarm clocks invented in the mid-twentieth century. These clocks quickly grew in popularity due to their simple but elegant design, displaying the time in large white numerals against a black background. The fun and beauty of this screensaver is that it can effectively turn any Windows or Mac OS X computer into such an elegant and useful clock.

The bigger the screen, the bigger the clock. Some options available to this screensaver, that the original flip clocks did not possess, include the ability to switch between a 12 and a hour format. These settings can be reset at any time. The only disadvantage we could find is that it requires the Adobe Flash Player plug-in. However, since this is a safe and free download, and most people will already have it installed on their computer, it shouldn't really be an obstacle. All things considered, the Fliqlo Flip Clock screensaver is a well-designed and functional screensaver that can be both useful and fashionable in your home or office.

How to Activate? I cannot uninstall the old version from the application list and even if I replace the old file with the new one, an error message appears. I'm using Windows 8 though. Sigh, wait for update for the windows version v1.

Graphics are off, not as clean as the original. Different font being used. Numbers displayed on a scaled desktop do not center properly, and the far right numbers are clipped. At least it is no longer dependent on flash being installed. Still no seconds option after all these years. I've been struggling all night with the update to the new version I already uninstalled it and installed it again but I don't see any difference The new version 1.

I just did it and it works fine now. The only thing that looks off, at least on the windows version, is the size looks larger, more zoomed in. Not as clean looking imho. Screensavers Planet: You can scale it down in the settings panel that is now contained within the screensaver. Click the cogwheel at the bottom right corner. I hate you Adobe and Microsoft for blocking flash.

I love it tbh but since Flash isn't a thing anymore, i have not been able to use it, there's just a white screen and it's honestly upsetting.

No hate tho, it's great and if there's a way to make it work without flash, it'll be even better. I love this screen saver, but today I started having issues with it. When it goes to saver mode the screen just has an F and an I.

Is there a way to remove the 'press any key to clear screensaver' that has been added to this new version? Screensavers Planet: It will appear when you move the mouse and should automatically disappear when you haven't moved the mouse for a few seconds. Did anyone have luck getting the new updated windows version to work on dual monitors?

Mine only works on my secondary screen - not even my primary.. I really love this screen saver and would appreciate any insight or help. I'm very happy the developer updated this screen saver. I've been using it for over 10 years and I love it! It's now updated, and it works without flashplayer, but it doesn't show up on both monitors, and I don't know how to fix it, pls fix. No longer works unfortunately as flash player is no longer supported but it was amazing while it lasted.

Screensavers Planet: A new version of Fliqlo for Windows that does not rely on Flash is being developed and expected to be released early Very easy and amazing. Only wish I could choose the color. You can however change the size of how large or small you wish the clock to be, which is perfect!

I am using Win 10 and I cannot uninstall this screensaver from the Settings. Fortunately, I found that it can be uninstalled from the old Control Panel!! I think it is well done, but it does not support more than two monitors.

I have three. And it doesn't support monitors of different dimensions. I wish it made that 'flipping' sound like these clocks originally made! I really miss that. If it did, I would have gave it 5 stars instead of just 3. Only two-screens display the clock. The 3rd screen doesn't have a clock and just displays a blank screen. The clock is static so potentially become a screen burner. I rather one clock display that can be configured to display one screen at a time shifting from one blank screen to another instead of display on 2 screens and blank on another.

The frequency shifting from one screen to another can be configurable make these an option. For a single display, maybe have the option to scroll so it doesn't stay dead center everytime? The clock looks very nice otherwise. Love the design and retro look, but it doesn't support multi-monitors well. Desktop is extended, not mirrored. Would be nice to have an option to just show on main screen.

Good, just needs an option to turn on and off seconds. Since it does not have the seconds, It would be nice to have this feature. Does anyone know how to solve the problem in Windows 10 of music being cut off when screensaver is turned on? IMO; It's the most elegant, Mac compatible clock there is. If I didn't know any better, I'd say, that Apple made it. Hi i have been trying for ages and i have got to the part on settings and it doesn't let me select the flip clock.

It looks good, it just won't let me get it. I cannot seem to download it onto my windows laptop and it's really annoying to put on there. I've tried literally everything and I can't do it. I get to the screen where it's like 'Apply'etc but I can never get past that. What do I do? I've been using this scrensaver on my big PC for aaaages.

Just got it now for my Surface Go and it's perfect to have it beside me while I play videogames to keep track of time :. Saw this on someone's screen while watching their Youtube video and I have been searching tirelessly ever since, so glad I didn't give up! It was a great screensaver until I updated my Mac to the latest IOS Now it won't work since Apple can't control whether the file contains any malware or not.

The file needs to be updated to work again. Any time that I go to click on Fliqlo as a screensaver, it automatically defaults to the message option instead. It won't open and freezes when I select it The windows version has a technical issue with any kind of music players such as Spotify, Pot player and etc.

The music plays with lag when the screen saver is running! Awesome throwback look! I have noticed that in my Windows 10 Surface the screensaver goes black and it locks my system. I've had to restart manually a few times. Finally I stopped using it. Any word on why? Be very careful using this screensaver for extended periods of time without change. Because it's very high contrast and the clock face is completely static, you can suffer a burn in which I did. I'm in the process of fixing it with a wallpaper created in pure white.

I have a small sliver left in the repair. I've had this white wallpaper displayed now for 7 days in the repair mode.
